All Natural Ant Spray posted at 22:04 on 18Jul05
As paranoid as I am to put anything around my wubs that might hurt them, I've been looking for a way to kill ants in the patio, where the wubbies live. This, I've found, works as well as commercial sprays, though it has no repellent power. For that, I block entry points with a spearmint oil mixture, or a heavily scented lemon dishsoap. I also use the dishsoap as a blockade, around the area I want to keep free of ants. It's all natural, kick ass, and safe for ubbie-wubs, wubbie-dubs, and mini-yous.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons dishsoap
Mix in a spray bottle and use generously. You probably want to wipe up the ant corpses, but at least you don't have to worry about poisons on the counters.
